Puerto Rico style

The light winds and the rain we had during the competition, weren't normal for a Puerto Rican Summer. Still we had some really good racing. I loved to be out there on the clear blue water. Not only did I win the event (8 out of 9 races), I also became 10th in the overall ranking (men, women, hydrofoils)! Cool.

After the competition I stayed 4 more days to enjoy the environment. Together with Karla Barrera and Kristin Boese we went to check out the old city center of San Juan. Zipped 'Coco Frio' at the beach. Hiked to the waterfalls of El Yunque. And I biked trough the mangroves and along the beaches of Pinones (soo Dutch ;-)

Our private natural pool with tiny waterfall (the big waterfall was so crowded that we went a bit up stream to find ourselves a private spot)
